CARE for your Gear

In past blogs we have discussed the excellent products available from BMW to care for your motorcycle. Luckily, BMW did not forget about your gear either. BMW Motorrad offers a full line of CARE products for helmets and apparel. The list of products includes Helmet and Visor Wipes, Helmet Padding Cleaner, Functional Detergent and Waterproofing Agent.

Helmet and Visor Wipes - Sold in a resealable pack of 10. Leave these wipes on your motorcycle or in your garage for cleaning bugs, tar and road grime off of your helmet. These wipes will not streak or scratch.

Helmet Padding Cleaner - Cleans away stubborn dirt and refreshes helmet padding. Simply rub a generous amount of the cleaner foam into the padding and allow to dry. Remove any excess debris with a small vacuum and your helmet will
smell as good as new! You can repeat this process if necessary.

Functional Detergent - This product is different than most other commonly available detergents. The soap does not draw water into the fabric (how most detergents clean) this allows the factory waterproofing treatment to stay intact when washing. All you need to do is place the detergent directly into the dispenser on your washing machine or apply directly to the garment for hand washing. This is a great way to keep your suit looking new or freshen up some older
apparel.

Waterproofing Agent - Applying this product to textiles, suede or leather will allow the material to repel water without effecting the breathability of the garment. Waterproofing should be reapplied after washing.

Light The Way

In a previous post, I discussed a few of the many protection options available directly from BMW for your motorcycle. Well... I have some great information to accompany that post! BMW Motorrad offers a series of model specific auxiliary and upgraded lighting options for many of their models. The range of products includes, but is not limited to: auxiliary driving lights (fog/spot lights), LED headlights, LED replacement turn signals and auxiliary brake lights. The goal is to see or be seen! All of these products are specifically engineered for BMW motorcycles. This means that the components fit correctly and plug directly into factory electrical connectors / mounting points (some dealer assistance may be required). These products provide the best quality and the cleanest installation (No more rats nest under you tank, brackets that don't fit or 20 feet of excess wire to hide!).

Get Back on Track

This spring and throughout 2016, MAX BMW is offering many great opportunities to get your riding skills back on track. A closed course is the best location to hone your abilities and demonstrate your motorcycle's true capabilities. We realize the idea of going to the "track" can be daunting for some, that is why we are proud to be offering our own track day experience at a brand new venue! The experience gives everyone from a novice to a pro the chance to get on the track and improve their riding skills. Track time is divided up by ability, so each rider feels comfortable riding with their fellow track mates. This is truly an all inclusive event!

MAX BMW track days will be hosted at a brand new facility located in Canaan, NH and multiple other excellent courses. The Canaan Motorsports Park road course is BRAND NEW so the tarmac is smooth and ready to be ridden! Everyone who has had an opportunity to ride the track thus far has been thrilled with the layout. You can be one of the first people to give this course a try! MAX BMW will be hosting a series of our exclusive track days at a variety of locations this season and you don't want to miss out.  Our Next track day is April 29th!

As with any track day, you want to make sure your motorcycle and gear are ready for the challenge. MAX BMW has everything you will need to have an awesome experience. Spring Fever!
