Give Your Bike What it Wants

It is no surprise that quality oils and lubricants keep you bike running smoothly. Quit guessing if an oil meets BMW's strict standards and rest easy knowing your bike has what it needs. BMW Motorrad offers a full line of chemicals, cleaners, sealants and lubricants. Offerings include: engine oil, gear oil, brake fluid, fuel system cleaner, chain lube, de-greaser, car wash shampoo and many more excellent products. All of these items are specifically formulated for your BMW!

The newest lubricant from BMW Motorrad is Shell Advantec oil which utilizes their cutting edge PUREPLUS technology. In simple terms, this oil's base stock is created from natural gas instead of convention petroleum stock. This allows for much cleaner oil than traditional refining methods. The end results is pure oil that keeps your engine clean, improves fuel economy and maximizes engine life.

There are two different models of Advantec oil. There is Advantec Ultimate which is 5w-40 fully synthetic oil and then you have Advantec Pro which is 15w-50 semi-synthetic oil (simply call your MAX BMW parts specialist for the correct application for your motorcycle). These will be the two primary motor oil offerings From BMW Motorrad. For all you 2 valve K bike and airhead owners out there, don't worry, castrol 20w-50 full conventional motor oil will still be available!

A Job Well Done!

I just wanted to take a moment to share a few photos of a fresh restoration recently completed by our friend Joe from California. He did an excellent job transforming his K75C into a K75S. With many hours in the garage, plenty of elbow grease and the MAX BMW Parts Fiche, he was able to complete his project. We think the results speak for themselves! Great job Joe, keep up the good work!

I just wanted to post a quick update about our ongoing project to provide high quality photos for each part on the fiche. As of 11/27 we have 547 new pictures of 261 different parts added the site! MAX BMW has the best BMW Motorcycle parts fiche available and we hope the additional pictures will continue to improve this great tool.

Website Fiche Updates

At MAX BMW we are constantly working to make our fiche a BMW motorcycle owners best resource for part numbers, diagrams and easy ordering. As you may have experienced in the past, the pictures on a fiche appear in black and white, potentially making it difficult to identify certain items you may be looking for. Max BMW understands this, that is why we have started a HUGE new project that will make finding the right parts easier than ever. Over the past week we have added over 480 new, high quality, multi angle photos for 250 different parts listed on the fiche. We have a parts expert working full time on this project. The goal is to offer our own photos for every part listed. Keep checking back in to follow the progress of this awesome undertaking!

Sandblast 2016 Preparation

With Sandblast just around the corner, preparation for the event is in full swing. It is said that "the band is getting back together for 2016". This means that many Sandblast veterans will be participating, giving beginners a great opportunity to learn ropes. With any racing event, you want to ensure that your BMW motorcycle is up for the challenge. Luckily, MAX BMW is here to support you! Jeremy’s Top Tips: To locate parts specifically for your motorcycle on the parts fiche, your most valuable ally is the last 7 digits of the motorcycle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).  The VIN can be found on the frame of the motorcycle, your registration or even an insurance card. Using this number will help you easily locate all of the parts that you need quickly and accurately.
